THE GRAYS ARE HEADED HOME

After a relaxing and invigorating time in the warm lagoons off Baja, the gray whales are on their way back to the icy waters of the Arctic. The Admiral and I hit the jackpot yesterday as these beautiful creatures transited north off our coastline.

   

DANALINA

We were the only boat anchored out at Baby Beach yesterday and enjoyed a sunny, relaxing time on the hook after lunch. Seldom will you find this anchorage and beach this deserted. 

WHALE HUNTING

To say we haven't seen many whales this season is an understatement so we took a Friday afternoon to get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures. Again...no luck. The conditions were good; calm seas, glassy surface, warm air. Maybe next time!
