The weather forecast for our trip home was benign: east winds 10 to 15 knots with 2 feet of wind swell. The reality was 18-26 knots of wind with a very bumpy 2-3 foot wind chop. Extremely wearing mentally and physically. We reefed both main and genny mid-channel to gain better control and slow us down. We were totally exhausted but exhilarated after our 5 hour and 15 minute trip home.

A rockslide/road closure postponed our trip to Kings Canyon so we were off to Catalina for 7 days and 6 nights. We split our time between Avalon and Cherry Cove. The weather cooperated for the most part, i.e., sunny days and cool chilly nights. We were surprised to meet our marina dock neighbors, Kraig and Jennifer, at the Isthmus and had a cocktail with them onshore.
