THE MOTHER OF ALL GIFT PACKAGES

On our recent sail with Matt and Laura, the dynamic duo surprised us with the most beautiful and creative present ever, let's just call it a survival ditch kit. The adult beverages included instructions for use, along with some tasty snacks and personalized coasters. Bravo Zulu and a huge THANK YOU.

SUMMERTIME ON SV SERENITY NOW

What an afternoon and evening we enjoyed with our besties, Matt and Laura. It began with Laura at the helm and very little wind. Laura was able to locate, navigate to and bump the only sailing mark buoy in the expansive area. In a solemn moment, flowers were cast in the ocean in memory of Matt's mom Joanne. Soon we deployed the iron genny and it was off to Danalina for great grog, goodies, gossip and grub. Mother Nature did her thing and provided the perfect setting of warm weather and a beautiful sky and sunset.

Our guests presented us with a very creative and unexpected gift of yummies and select Serenity Now custom coasters with QR Codes that directs one to our two sailing blogs...unbelievable! I'll do a separate blog page on the gift package, it's definitely blog-worthy.

Finally, we made our way back to the slip to cap a most enjoyable and memorable day. Bravo Zulu crew!

THE BEST SHIPS ARE THE FRIENDSHIPS

A mid-week trip to Newport Harbor found us with close friends Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A trifecta!

We picked up the Emersons at the 15th Street dinghy dock on Tuesday and proceeded on a champagne cruise of the back bay until it became to shallow. Then it was back to the boat for laughs and lies until the Admiral's delicious dinner. Unfortunately we had to drop them off back at the dock around 10 PM. Another wonderful night.

The next two mornings it was off to Charlie's Chili for breakfast with good friends John and Bonnie, high school chums of the Admirals, and Tony and Amy, dock mates from Dana. Charlie's "World Famous Chili Cheese Omelet" was a no-go two mornings in a row, one was enough.

The title of this post, and I've used it before, says it all!
