Our anniversary this year fell on Thanksgiving Day and we were invited to celebrate with good friends Barbara and Harold and their family. The dinner was delicious and the company was the best. As an added plus, they surprised us with a gift and lemon cream cake. We have a lot to be thankful for.
We were off to southern Reno to visit long-time college friends Gary and Nancy. We broke up the trip by exploring the Alabama Hills, Mt.Whitney Portal and spending the first night in Bishop, then enjoying the picturesque drive up Hwy 395 the next day. We did the June Lake Loop both on our way there and back, and of course, the Mammoth Lakes Scenic Drive on our way home. Gary and Nancy were perfect hosts as they showed us their new home and surroundings along with a trip to Lake Tahoe to enjoy drinks and the scenery. On our way home we stayed in Lone Pine at the Dow Villa, the same motel we stayed in after our successful Mt.Whitney climb in 2012. Great memories without the soreness!
Our beloved dinghy found a new home recently only one dock away from K Dock. Dan, on L Dock, has a 40' Catalina and is now the proud owner of "Beer Run". She's in good hands and we wish Dan all the best with his new tender.

We spent the day on the Admiral's birthday driving to Balboa Lake in Encino to celebrate Rowland's first b-day. Family and friends gathered for good eats and conversation. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NESPORADOS!
