The capt decided to get involved with the weekly "Beer Can" races and yesterday found himself as the newbie crewman on sv French Toast. She's a Benateau First 40.7 and a fast, beautifully equipped boat. There's a lot to learn as racing is entirely different from cruising. The seasoned crew were very understanding and welcoming. The winds were a consistent 14-17 knots and we topped out at 9 knots. Exciting day!

KING LOW TIDE IN SAN CLEMENTE
The Admiral and I went for a stroll on the beach to survey the cliff damage from the recent rains. The low tide exposed some rocks that are normally under water. The first bluff photo below is in San Clemente and the last one is of the Dana Point Headlands. More rain is expected this season, hold on!
