THURSDAY RACING

While most of the crew was off racing in the Santa Barbara-San Diego Off Shore 300, the fearless foursome of Bob, Rod, Gary and yours truly stayed local and enjoyed passing boats and finishing well. Bravo Zulu crew!

Closing in on sv Dancing Bear. We finished three or four boat lengths ahead of Bear.

Nice to see our competitors in the rear-view mirror.

LIGHT AIR THURSDAY

The course was shortened during the race because there was very little wind. We were expecting 10-15 knots and it turned out to be 0-5. The conditions called for lots of jib sail adjustments and crew weight distribution. Several boats DNF 'd (did not finish) and called it quits during the race. We passed most of the fleet and finished in third place.

Wind speed 3 knots, boat speed 3.2 SOG!

This interesting beamy monster was anchored in the harbor.
