Lake Arrowhead is a mountain gem only a couple of hours from San Clemente. The Admiral and I made the drive last week for a brief interlude from the beach to get into the mountains. It was time well-spent. The alpine air, blue sky, picturesque lake, leisurely hikes and empty resort made for a great get-a-way. And when I say empty resort, I really mean it. The Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa was a fully staffed ghost town waiting for snow and the start of ski season. Perfect timing for us!
