THIS NEVER GETS OLD

The Dana Point Farcle Race has been going every Thursday (except on Thanksgiving when they race the next day Friday) for over 50 years. Great tradition!

FIRST TIME BEING "FOGGED OUT"

The afternoon started normally, meeting in the parking lot then making our way to the boat. Skies were clear with a light wind out of the west. We readied the boat and off we went from the slip. As we left the harbor entrance an obvious extremely heavy fog layer began moving in. The "Skip",  after observing the entire situation right before the start of the race, made a wise decision and said "I don't like racing in the fog with no visibility, we heading in." Smart move. Every day is different and some are foggier than others!

IT'S PIZZA TIME!

Our Mt. Whitney climbing partners and best friends, Skippy (Matt) and Shutterbug (Laura), joined us for a night of lively and jovial conversation at the world-famous Trenta Cucina. They cleverly personalized the labels on a very scrumptious bottle of champagne. We love you two too!

TERRY WIGGLESWORTH

Long time friend and DHHS coach passed recently. He was a terrific influence on the many many students he taught and coached. Rest in Peace Terry.

OUR ONCE IN A LIFETIME ANNIVERSARY

November 23, 1974, fifty years ago, Sue and I made a solemn vow and entered into a marriage that has been nothing short of unbelievable. And to think there's more to come, hold on because, here we come! For our 50th we decided that Turtle Bay on the north shore of Oahu would be the place to celebrate and it turned out to be a great decision. The weather, water, snorkeling, views, food, drinks, beaches, activities and the resort itself were as good as it gets and we enjoyed every single minute. Plus we were able to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial twice, when flying in and out of Honolulu. Thank you Lord for this fabulous journey and our lives together.

A SECOND PLACE FINISH (BARELY)
