Campsite 20, Ranger Emma, cold nights, bacon and eggs, plenty of firewood and campfires, fall colors, two Indian truckers, mama bear with two cubs, the Hilton, prepping for the threat of rain, no pay phones, internet, tv or radio, but satellite texted for first time, a night at the ranger's abode, market still open, no EMT's or law enforcement this late in the season, beautiful days and crystal clear skies. This is KC and why we keep going there, year after year, since circa 1971.
